Advice for clients travelling to Lapland with Canterbury Travel Winter 2008

Hand Baggage and Hold Luggage.

Following the recent relaxing of some of the security procedures with regards to both cabin baggage and hold luggage at the majority of UK airports, there is comprehensive information available to all travellers on www.dft.gov.uk

This will give you accurate information about the items that you can and cannot carry on board an aircraft.

In addition, we would ask you to read carefully the information printed on your individual Tour Itinerary ...this will come to you with your Travel Documents, approx 10 - 14 days before departure.

The Itinerary will tell you with which Airline you are flying and will give you specific information as to the size of cabin baggage permitted.

For day trip clients, there is no (hold) luggage allowance - hand baggage only is permitted. For clients travelling for 1 night or more, the luggage allowance is 20kg per person.

This information is provided in addition to the Information Booklet that you will receive with your Travel Documents. Please note also that this latest Baggage/Luggage information supersedes the information contained within our Information Booklet, printed earlier in the year.

In the event of change, the information on the Government Website will supersede any other information previously given within your Itinerary or any of our Information Booklets, it will also supersede the info given above in this message regarding hand baggage and hold luggage.

It will be necessary for you to refer to www.dft.gov.uk to check the latest details, prior to your departure.
